Of all the different home additions that our general contractors have built, one of the most common types is a sun room addition. Why? Here are a few reasons.
First, some of the sun room additions built by our contractors are extremely simple projects (that mainly just involve enclosing an existing space, such as a porch at the rear of your home). So, if the remodeling project is simple and features little more than adding a new wall with several windows, then that also means that the sun room addition can be built quickly and with a lower budget than building a room addition out in to the yard (or even building the addition upwards as a 2nd-story addition).
Further, sunrooms are often built so that they can be used for many different purposes. At different times of the year, it can be used as a home gym, a playroom for kids, a study or home office, or even an extra space to set up a dining table (like when you're hosting a big holiday dinner). Finally, still on the topic of different times of the year, you probably already know that sunrooms are very popular for homeowners that value enjoying nature all year round (without having to worry about the weather or outdoor temperatures).
